Halftime of my life. I’m almost 40. Say I live until I’m 80, hopefully longer if I have all my faculties. That is, if I live until 80, that means I’m almost halfway there. That’s very weird to me. How time flies. When I was in high school, people would say time is gonna go faster now. I thought to myself, yeah, right. It turns out they were right.

Does it scare me getting old? Truthfully, it used to, but now as I get older, I tell myself I can’t control Father Time, so I might as well enjoy the age I am. I feel like there always will be something to learn. There always will be room to grow and mature, no matter how old you get.

I’m looking forward to the years to come. I have big plans. I hope they all come true. Even if they don’t, as long as I give it my all, that’s all I can do. So, no matter how old you are, enjoy whatever age you are because you can’t control your age, so you might as well enjoy it.

What I hate about age is people say you’re supposed to be at a certain place at a certain age. For example, people might say you’re supposed to get married at 25. Well, everyone’s different, so why is there an expectation that at a certain age you’re supposed to be at a certain place in your life?

I unequivocally hate that notion because, for me, for example, I didn’t start writing seriously until I was in my mid-30s because it took me a while to grow and mature and have confidence in myself. Everyone’s different, so why do we have expectations for everyone to be a certain way by a certain age? Maybe because we all have a short time on this planet, but I think there should not be pressure on people to do things at a certain time.

Anyway, that’s my thoughts on that. Also, I wanted to update everyone on my book I’m working on. I’m trying to get it out before the end of the year, but I’m not sure if it’s gonna be out when I want it to, but it is coming, hopefully soon. I will keep you guys updated.

Thank you for your support. Until next month live long and prosper.🖖
